Pokin' Holes – Ep49 – Editingg

We had a great night on Thursday at Bocoup loft. Chris and John pitched their company Editingg while Nick Maloney, Dan Marques and Jeff Seibert offered their thoughts on what the company should do to get to the next level.
We also had a fantastic band playing that night in the Rollo Tomasi Quartet. These guys have been performing in the greater Boston area since May of 2002. Their slogan, “Jazz Straight Up. Funk Chaser.” is truly an apt description for this dynamic foursome. Mixing vibrant original compositions with innovative arrangements of timeless standards, this group pleases audiences of all ages and bridges the gap between jazz and funk. Members of RTQ have played in many Boston-area venues including the Regattabar, Upstairs on the Square, Gargoyles, The Beehive, Vinalia, The Good Life, the Oak Bar, the State Room, Stellina, Tryst, the Four Seasons, Wonderbar, and the Cantab Lounge. They are always seeking out new opportunities and venues to play.
If you didn't have a chance to see the show check it out below. Just to give you a heads up, I had some technical difficulties with my firewire port so we had to go old school using the computer's camera. We'll be back on line for Capitalize though! (more...)

Another month has passed which means that we are heading back to Bocoup Loft for Pokin' Holes. The past two months we've seen a couple hundred people come out, talk shop and get connected. We hope to see you there!
UPDATE: Live music with the band the Rollo Tomasi Quartet. These guys have been performing in the greater Boston area since May of 2002. Their slogan, "Jazz Straight Up. Funk Chaser." is truly an apt description for this dynamic foursome. Mixing vibrant original compositions with innovative arrangements of timeless standards, this group pleases audiences of all ages and bridges the gap between jazz and funk. They are always seeking out new opportunities and venues to play.
This month we have Chris Gallello and John Gesimondo pitching their company Editingg. Editingg allows people to upload their images and have them touched up and improved by professionals. Currently the editing is done by Chris and John however as they move forward they'll be crowd sourcing the photo improvements.
The first 10 people to email photos@editingg.com with “2free” in the subject will receive one free edit. Just attach the picture that you want edited and feel free to include requests. Chris and John should have the uploader for the website up soon but for now this will be easiest.
Check out my conversation with the guys from Editingg below... (more...)

Even with eventapocolypse we still had a great time last night at Bocoup Loft. Tons of new faces came out and it's always great to hear of all the projects that people are working on.
Congrats to Boston Startup who have just launched their free consulting to Boston area startups. Definitely check them out if you need help with any aspects of your business. Check out their video below to hear more about what they are doing for startups. http://boston-startup.com
In the hot seat tonight we had Peekaboo Mobile, an iPhone app that uses GPS to find exclusive coupon deals and discounts directly around you. As always we had a great panel with a great discussion on what Ben and Mike should be thinking about for their company's next steps.
Check out the show below! (more...)
