A lot of stuff is going down this month in the world of Boston startup. Pokin' Holes Pre Show – Indie Ambassador

Pre Showpokin holes / | No Comments

IndieAmbassadorLogoHopefully everyone is having an incredible summer so far. I can't believe it's already July and we're approaching another #startupparty and Pokin' Holes at Bocoup Loft.

This month we have a great company stepping up to the hot seat in Indie Ambassador. If you haven't heard of Indie Ambassador, they are the tool for musicians to manage their music careers.

I had a chance to talk to the founders of Indie Ambassador, Ben and Chris, and learned more about the company's vision, business model and their plan for customer acquisition. And because Ben and Chris are so involved in the music community, they're working to help us find a band for next Thursday night!

Grab a ticket to the event

And most important Magners Irish Cider will be sponsoring the event with their delicious cider!

Pokin' Holes – Ep49 – Editingg

Episodepokin holes / | No Comments

editinggWe had a great night on Thursday at Bocoup loft. Chris and John pitched their company Editingg while Nick Maloney, Dan Marques and Jeff Seibert offered their thoughts on what the company should do to get to the next level.

We also had a fantastic band playing that night in the Rollo Tomasi Quartet. These guys have been performing in the greater Boston area since May of 2002. Their slogan, “Jazz Straight Up. Funk Chaser.” is truly an apt description for this dynamic foursome. Mixing vibrant original compositions with innovative arrangements of timeless standards, this group pleases audiences of all ages and bridges the gap between jazz and funk. Members of RTQ have played in many Boston-area venues including the Regattabar, Upstairs on the Square, Gargoyles, The Beehive, Vinalia, The Good Life, the Oak Bar, the State Room, Stellina, Tryst, the Four Seasons, Wonderbar, and the Cantab Lounge. They are always seeking out new opportunities and venues to play.

If you didn't have a chance to see the show check it out below. Just to give you a heads up, I had some technical difficulties with my firewire port so we had to go old school using the computer's camera. We'll be back on line for Capitalize though! (more...)
